Best TDR reporting tool for product resellers with many SKUs (2026)
A reseller’s month is many lines across a long catalog, and SRP matches each line against the items on the contract. The tool to want carries the manufacturer and part number on every product line, keeps each SKU’s match from month to month, and shows the line SRP would reject before you open the portal. TDR Prep keeps that match for every SKU and can read the month straight from QuickBooks Online; TDR Filer saves item data and applies it to each month’s spreadsheet export.
TDR Prep wrote this list and is on it, listed first. What product resellers with many SKUs need, and the criteria the list is ordered on, come before it.
Needs
What product resellers with many SKUs need from a TDR tool
- Manufacturer and part number on every product line
- A product line carries both the manufacturer name and its part number, and they have to agree with the contract item. A line missing either one does not go through.
- The unit the contract sells in
- Each, box, pack and case are different units, and the unit on the line has to be the one on the awarded item. Resellers who sell the same part in more than one pack size need each one matched to its own unit.
- A match the contract recognizes
- GSA documents a "cannot find items" error for a line SRP cannot match to the contract, with troubleshooting steps. With hundreds of SKUs, finding that line by hand after a rejected upload is the slow part.
- Returns and discounts as their own lines
- A month of reselling includes credits. An export that marks a line as a sale, a return or a discount should keep that meaning through to the file.
Criteria
What this list compares
- Per-SKU mapping
- Whether each SKU is matched to a contract item once and remembered.
- Check before upload
- Whether the failing line and field are named before SRP sees the file.
- Volume and price
- How the published price scales with lines and contracts.
The list
Ranked for product resellers with many SKUs
1. TDR Prep
Each SKU is matched once to its SIN, unit of measure, manufacturer and part number, and the match is applied every month after. A product line without both manufacturer fields fails with "SRP will reject this because" and the field it is missing. The import keeps a line marked as a return or a discount. Plans are sized by contracts and reported lines a month.
Published price: $99, $149 or $249 a month; import, mapping and validation are free with no card
Starts from: QuickBooks Online or a CSV export
Upload and certification: The contract holder uploads the file to SRP and certifies it there. TDR Prep never files.
Fits: Resellers with long catalogs, repeat SKUs and a month large enough that file upload is the sensible route.
2. TDR Filer
TDR Filer validates a CSV or XLSX export and builds the upload workbook. Its page says the subscription saves column mapping, contract values and item data, then applies them to next month’s export, so the month still starts from a spreadsheet you export.
Published price: $79/month
Starts from: CSV or XLSX exports
Upload and certification: Its page says the customer uploads the output to SRP.
Fits: Resellers who already maintain manufacturer, part number and unit in their export.
3. SRP directly
GSA points holders with many orders or lines toward the SRP file upload. It costs nothing; building the file and keeping each SKU’s fields right is the holder’s work.
Published price: Free
Starts from: Typed into the form, or a file you build yourself
Upload and certification: The contract holder enters or uploads the report and certifies it.
Fits: Resellers with an ERP that already produces the upload file.
SRP directly: its own page · TDR Prep vs reporting directly in SRP
4. TDR Preflight
TDR Preflight’s page is written for hourly and labor-hour services and says several transaction types block, so a product-heavy month falls outside what it describes.
Published price: $5,000 for one reviewed month; $24,000/year for annual workspace access
Starts from: CSV or XLSX, and read-only QuickBooks Online
Upload and certification: Its page says the customer reviews the output and submits it.
Fits: Mostly a services route; product resellers are not its stated audience.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What happens when a SKU is not on my contract?
SRP cannot match the line to a contract item and rejects it. GSA’s TDR help page lists the troubleshooting steps for that error.
Do I map every SKU every month?
No. In TDR Prep each SKU is matched once; next month’s lines for the same SKU reuse the match, and only new SKUs need attention.
Does TDR Prep decide which sales are reportable?
No. It applies the file rules to the transactions you give it. What your contract requires you to report is your call.

Transaction-level reporting, the product data each line must match, and the "cannot find items" troubleshooting steps.
- SRP user manual — report data by file upload
File upload for many orders or lines; reports go in chronological order and an upload with an unreported earlier month is rejected.
- TDR Filer — product page
File preparation and validation from CSV/XLSX; service lines supported (labor category, hours, rate; manufacturer and part number blank); the subscription saves column mapping, contract values and item data and applies them to next month's export; zero-sales months recorded with a Form Entry step; months without a recorded submission shown with due dates; the customer uploads to SRP.
- TDR Filer — pricing and comparison
The published price: $79/month.
- TDR Preflight — offer, pricing and scope
Hourly/labor-hour services scope; $5,000 one-month reviewed file; $24,000/year workspace; CSV/XLSX and read-only QBO intake; the workspace is access only, with ongoing expert preparation scoped separately; several transaction types block; the customer submits.
