Best for

Best TDR reporting tool for catching up on back months (2026)

SRP takes monthly reports in order, and it rejects an upload while an earlier month on the same contract is unreported. A holder with months to rebuild needs each one from the first open month forward, built and checked before the next. TDR Prep builds that sequence from one item mapping. The other routes prepare one month at a time, and the holder lines them up.

TDR Prep wrote this list and is on it, listed first. What holders rebuilding back months need, and the criteria the list is ordered on, come before it.

Needs

What holders rebuilding back months need from a TDR tool

Know where the sequence starts
Each contract has a month its reporting starts from, and a contract awarded later starts from its own award. The first unreported month after that is where the run begins.
Build the months in order
SRP refuses a later month while an earlier one on the same contract is open, so the months go up oldest first. A tool that shows the whole run, and which month is next, removes the guesswork.
Keep the empty months in the run
A month with no GSA sales is still a reported month. Skipping it leaves the next upload blocked just as a missing month with sales would.
Match items once for every month
Back months repeat the same catalog. Matching each item to its SIN, unit, manufacturer and part number once, and reusing it across the run, is most of the time saved.
Work out the fee per quarter as you go
The Industrial Funding Fee is owed per quarter on reported sales, so each rebuilt quarter needs its figure from the same months.

The list

Ranked for holders rebuilding back months

  1. 1. TDR Prep

The catch-up flow lists every open month on a contract from its reporting start, oldest first, including the months with no sales. Each month with sales is imported, checked line by line, and turned into an upload file in turn, with the item mapping from the first month applied to the rest. A month with no sales gets the SRP Form Entry steps instead, because the upload file has no zero-sales row. The quarterly IFF figure comes off the same months. Once it opens, import, mapping and the line-by-line check are free with no card.

Published price: $99, $149 or $249 a month; import, mapping and validation are free with no card

Starts from: QuickBooks Online or a CSV export

Upload and certification: The contract holder uploads the file to SRP and certifies it there. TDR Prep never files.

Fits: Holders with several unreported months on one or more contracts, and their bookkeepers.

  2. 2. TDR Filer

TDR Filer prepares an upload from a spreadsheet export, and its page says the account shows the months with no recorded submission and their due dates. For back months you prepare one file per month from that month’s export and upload them oldest first.

    Published price: $79/month

Starts from: CSV or XLSX exports

Upload and certification: Its page says the customer uploads the output to SRP.

Fits: Holders with a short run of months and a clean export for each.

  3. 3. SRP directly

The SRP form takes each month directly at no charge, oldest first. With few transactions a month, typing a short run in by hand is workable.

    Published price: Free

Starts from: Typed into the form, or a file you build yourself

Upload and certification: The contract holder enters or uploads the report and certifies it.

Fits: Holders with one or two missed months and very few lines.

  4. 4. TDR Preflight

TDR Preflight sells a reviewed file one month at a time, so a run of reviewed months is priced as that many months. Its page is written for labor-hour services. The annual workspace is software access, and its page says any ongoing expert preparation is scoped separately.

Published price: $5,000 for one reviewed month; $24,000/year for annual workspace access

Starts from: CSV or XLSX, and read-only QuickBooks Online

Upload and certification: Its page says the customer reviews the output and submits it.

Fits: Services holders who want each rebuilt month reviewed and documented by someone else.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I upload this month before the missed months?

No. SRP rejects an upload that includes a contract with an unreported earlier month, so the missed months go up first, oldest first.

Do months with no GSA sales count?

Yes. A month with no sales is still reported, and it holds its place in the sequence like any other month.

How far back does TDR Prep go?

Back to the month each contract’s reporting starts from. TDR Prep builds the months; the contract holder uploads each one and certifies it in SRP.
